Céline Timmerman (1990) is a theatre maker and actress. Her artistic work is situated within the performance world. After studying Fine Arts in Ghent, she continued her studies as a theatre maker at the Maastricht Theatre Academy, where she graduated in 2016 with the performance Bodemloos (Nekkersdal Brussels, CAMPO Ghent and Entrepot Bruges). Her second performance Buidelwolf/POUCH was performed at the Fringe Festival in Amsterdam, among others. A performance about the relationship between mother and child, with five young girls in the leading role. In her work, Céline is always looking for the meeting between visual arts and theatre. Characteristic in her work is the dark humour, sensitive slowness and her love for wool. For Céline's latest creation BOBBETY, she is included as a Jong Goud resident at DE MAAN (Mechelen) and HET LAB (ccha). A performance about a lonely soul who tries to fill her loneliness by creating a doppelgangster. As an actress, Céline has appeared in numerous short films and had a guest role in the TV series Cordon, De ridder, Bevergem, Lisa and Familie. In 2019, she won the audience award Cross over Pitch at TAZ with the project 'Same Same', with this project Céline completed the scenario workshop at the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF) and also received scenario support.
